CHØKE ME
A DARK AND CONTROVERSIAL NEW WORK OF CONTEMPORARY POLITICAL THEATRE ABOUT POLLUTION.
Sheffield’s own unique cult of anarcho-nihilistic, political theatre makers – Doppelgangster – bring a very special performance work to the SHU Performance Lab stage for Off-the-Shelf Festival 2019. This spellbinding juggernaut features violent comic riffs, rapid-fire physical spectacles, an exceptional young ensemble, and a collection of new and appropriated texts ranging from raging panic to doom-laden rituals.
